Installing the Bryx Dispatch Courier

Modified on Thu, 19 Sep at 2:07 PM

The Bryx Dispatch Courier is a lightweight piece of software designed to monitor live CAD output. Courier monitors a directory for file creation events or a SQL database for newly created data. Information from these files is then sent to Bryx for processing with secure HTTPS authentication. Courier allows you to register for uptime emails to ensure reliable service.

To install the Bryx Dispatch Courier software, please visit https://downloads.bryx.com/

After downloading the software, you will need to run it with administrator rights. You will then be prompted to download the additional application files required for the software to run.

When downloading the additional application files, you may run into the following error:

If you do run into this error, you will need to follow the steps outlined here: Bryx Dispatch Courier Expired Certificate Error

After the software is running, you will see a screen indicating that the service is paused or stopped, such as in the image below:

At this point, you will need to select the Edit Configuration button to complete the setup of the Courier software. You will need to specify the file path, the provider token, and the destination ID.

The File Path should be set to the directory on your computer that you would like the Courier Software to monitor. You should be able to determine which directory this is via your CAD software. Please keep in mind that any file in this directory will be removed after it is sent to Bryx. It is important to make sure you specify a directory that is not in use by any other application or has existing files in it.

The Provider Token will be generated and provided to you by Bryx. If you do not have a provider token, please reach out to Bryx Support by creating a support ticket.

The Processing Directory should be set to the directory that you would like your files to be sent to while being processed by the Courier software. We would recommend setting this to a processing subdirectory of the File Path directory.

The Destination ID will be your Bryx Agency's alert address. If you are unsure of what this is, please reach out to Bryx Support by creating a support ticket.
