Gathering Bryx Diagnostic Logs

Modified on Fri, 17 Feb, 2023 at 1:30 PM

When troubleshooting issues with the Bryx Dispatch Courier, Bryx Support may request that you provide logs as these are often required in order to investigate failures.

Most often, Bryx Support will ask for you to provide us with the Dispatch Courier logs. These can be located under the %homedir%/bryx directory or the %userprofile%/bryx directory. Within the directory, there will be two log files - log.txt and service-log.txt. Once you have gathered the files, please place them into a directory, create a ZIP archive, and attach them to the ticket for review.

Bryx Support may also ask you to attach the System and Application logs of your machine under certain circumstances. If these are required, you will first need to export said logs by performing the following:

  1. Open Event Viewer.
  2. Expand "Windows Logs"
  3. Select the Application and System logs.
  4. Select Action > Save all Events as...
  5. Ensure that the file type is set to .evtx while specifying the save directory.
  6. If needed, place the log files into a new directory (We will be creating a ZIP archive in our next step)
  7. Create a ZIP archive of the directory housing the log files and attach them to your support ticket for review.
