Currently, the Bryx Mobile (formerly known as Bryx 911) Alerting Application offers multiple ways to receive call notifications. Effective on May 1, 2024, Bryx will no longer support the delivery of call notifications via third-party SMS (text messaging) services. You can still receive SMS notifications by using your provider’s email gateway (email-to-text message service).
Bryx Mobile currently supports the following notification services:
Mobile application notification delivery through your smartphone’s notification service (either Apple or Google)
Bryx Desktop/Web App
Email notification through registered email addresses.
If you are currently receiving SMS notifications for new calls, you will have to register with your phone number and provider gateway as highlighted below. For users not currently enrolled in SMS notifications, no action is required.
This change does not impact notifications for Bryx Station Alerting status. These notifications will continue to be sent via SMS.
