Pairing Devices to Station Control Units

Peripherals for the station alerting system, including Dorm Remote tablets and Station Board kiosk displays, will present a 4-character pairing code when initializing. The Management Site allows for managers to pair peripherals using their pairing code to specific zones of the station alerting system (or just to the system, if there is only one zone).


Steps to Pair a Device:

  1. Navigate and log in to the Bryx Management site at manage.bryx911.com.
  2. Select "Bryx Station" on the left sidebar.
  3. Find the Station Control Unit you'd like to pair the device to from the table shown, then click the "three dots" to the right, and select "Edit Config..." in the dropdown that appears.
  4. If the SCU has multiple zones:
    1. Click the "Zones" tab in the configuration pop-up.
    2. In the segment for the zone you'd like to pair the device to, click "Pair Board/Tablet".

    3. Enter the pairing code in the pop-up, then click "Link".

    4. The device is paired.

      Note: to pair a Dorm Remote in "all zones" mode (one Dorm Remote to edit all zones) you can pair the Dorm Remote to any zone.
  5. If the SCU has one zone, simply click the "Pair Board/Tablet" button on the General tab of the configuration modal.
    1. Enter the pairing code in the pop-up, then click "Pair".
    2. The device is paired.


Once paired, the device should automatically load and be ready for use.
